On September 19, Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee Vu Thi Mai Anh presided over a working session with the City Tourism Association and a number of tourism service and travel businesses to discuss and address difficulties and obstacles, and propose solutions to promote tourism development into a key economic sector in line with Politburo Resolution No. 26.
Quang Ninh possesses diverse and distinctive tourism resources, together with an increasingly synchronised infrastructure system, creating favourable conditions for tourism development. In the first nine months of the year, the city’s destinations welcomed around 18.8 million tourist arrivals, including more than 4.2 million international arrivals. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 56.4 trillion.
Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee Vu Thi Mai Anh requested departments, sectors, localities and tourism service businesses to strengthen coordination and proactively develop products and promotion programmes suited to each market, while focusing on improving service quality and ensuring a safe, civilised and transparent tourism business environment.
