To stimulate tourism in the final months of the year, Quang Ninh City is organising more cultural, sporting and tourism events while encouraging businesses to offer special promotions, develop products that enhance visitor experiences and improve service quality to attract more tourists during the autumn–winter season.
At Ha Long International Cruise Port, 100 sightseeing boats have been offering free drinks to individual visitors taking trips around Ha Long Bay since August, following the issuance of Plan No. 380/KH-UBND. Beyond service discounts, cruise operators are exploring additional gifts inspired by local heritage, such as hats, T-shirts and souvenirs, to enrich the visitor experience and encourage visitors to return.
Alongside cruise operators, travel agencies, restaurants, transport providers and accommodation establishments are strengthening partnerships to develop package deals combining accommodation, dining, wellness services and transport. These integrated offerings make travel more convenient while helping extend visitors’ stays and increase spending at the destination.
As part of the autumn–winter tourism stimulus programme, FTE Ha Long Hotel is offering room discounts of 46–60% through the end of 2026, alongside special offers on dining, spa treatments and electric vehicle services. Tran Thi Thuy, the hotel’s Director of Sales, said the city’s series of tourism events had generated positive momentum and helped attract visitors. At times, the hotel’s occupancy rate had exceeded 70%, while international visitor numbers had also shown encouraging signs.
Other accommodation providers are offering attractive deals. Muong Thanh Luxury Ha Long Centre Hotel is offering a 55% discount, including breakfast and one main meal. À La Carte Ha Long is offering a discount of nearly 40%, with a complimentary main meal for guests staying two nights or a cake-and-drink package for those staying one night. Angsana Quan Lan Resort is offering discounts of nearly 61%, together with speedboat transfers and afternoon tea.
In the sightseeing and entertainment sector, Cha Village Ha Long entertainment complex is offering a 50% discount on drinks. Providers of double-decker bus tours, sightseeing trips aboard the three-panel tourist boat Heritage Sail and cruises operated by Azure 9 Ha Long Yacht Club are running a “buy five tickets, get one free” promotion. The wide range of offers is helping make Quang Ninh a more attractive destination during the autumn–winter season.
In the first nine months of 2026, tourist attractions across the city welcomed approximately 18.8 million tourist arrivals, including more than 4.2 million international arrivals. Tourism revenue exceeded VND56 trillion. To help achieve the full-year target of 22.5 million tourist arrivals and revenue of around VND68.5 trillion, Nguyen The Hue, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, said tourism businesses and local tourism associations have actively participated in the city’s 2026 autumn–winter tourism stimulus programme. He stressed that, alongside offering more incentives, improving service quality is crucial to providing visitors with the best possible experience. These efforts will help attract more tourists, increase visitor spending and encourage longer stays in Quang Ninh.
