The special art programme “Quang Ninh – A city shining into the future” creates a strong effect, attracting more than 100,000 residents and visitors.

Visitor numbers increased sharply at most of the province’s key tourist attractions and destinations. Over the five-day period, Ha Long Bay welcomed nearly 41,800 visitors, including more than 19,100 international visitors. In the western area and at spiritual tourism destinations, the Yen Tu National Special Relic Site welcomed nearly 16,100 visitors. Total tourism revenue during the five-day holiday was estimated at VND 1.8 trillion, up 84% compared with the same period last year. The strong results were driven by a series of cultural, sports and tourism events organised to celebrate the establishment of Quang Ninh City, along with synchronised tourism stimulus activities. Notably, the special art programme themed “Quang Ninh – A city shining into the future”, held on the evening of August 28, created a strong effect, attracting more than 100,000 residents and visitors. The programme featured multiple performance spaces and the application of modern technologies, most notably a 3D mapping projection by the Heritage Bay. The programme was recognised by the Vietnam Records Organisation as setting a record for the largest number of spectators attending a multi-space performance art programme in Vietnam. The September 2 National Day holiday once again affirmed Quang Ninh as one of Vietnam’s leading tourist destinations, while providing important momentum for the local tourism sector to achieve its growth targets in 2026.
