Beyond wedding tourism, Ha Long Bay has also attracted interest from Bollywood filmmakers. From January 12 to 14, 2026, an Indian film crew of nearly 100 members filmed the movie “Silaa” at locations on Ha Long Bay and Tuan Chau Island. The production helped showcase the natural beauty of the Ha Long Bay heritage site to Indian audiences through cinema.

In the first nine months of 2026, Quang Ninh welcomed around 70,000 Indian tourist arrivals. This market offers considerable potential for the city to develop premium resort tourism, wedding tourism and event tourism.
