During this year’s National Day holiday, import-export and immigration activities at border gates and crossings across Quang Ninh have remained smooth and convenient.
At Bac Luan II Bridge of Mong Cai International Border Gate, functional forces have arranged personnel on permanent duty to handle relevant tasks, helping ensure import-export activities proceed quickly and smoothly, facilitating businesses and preventing cargo congestion, particularly for fruit, frozen seafood, equipment and electronic components.
On September 1 alone, more than 700 vehicles carrying nearly 15,000 tonnes of goods completed customs clearance procedures, mainly fruit, frozen seafood, equipment and electronic components. Alongside cargo flows, immigration activity through Bac Luan II Bridge was also busy, with nearly 20,000 passenger crossings recorded on September 1.
Maintaining smooth operations at border gates and crossings during the holiday not only facilitates businesses and residents, but also demonstrates the proactive and flexible approach of functional forces in promoting the important role of the border trade economy.
