On October 7, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Council Nguyen Hong Duong received a delegation from the Hungarian Workers’ Party led by its President Thurmer Gyula during the delegation’s visit and working trip to Quang Ninh.
The delegation visited Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage Site and Quang Ninh Museum, learned about Quang Ninh City’s tourism potential, and exchanged views on the city’s socio-economic development as well as measures to promote friendship and cooperation.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Council Nguyen Hong Duong introduced the delegation to some of Quang Ninh’s basic characteristics and socio-economic development achievements in recent years. In particular, since September 1, Quang Ninh has become a city and is a locality of particularly important economic, political, defence, security and external relations significance in northern Vietnam.
Quang Ninh City attaches importance to strengthening exchanges and cooperation and expanding relations with localities and partners in Hungary, especially in such fields as high technology, green industry, innovation, digital transformation, supporting industries, manufacturing and processing, clean energy and environmental technology; tourism promotion; and cooperation in education, training and human resource development.
President of the Hungarian Workers’ Party Thurmer Gyula expressed his pleasure at Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development achievements and highly valued the locality’s potential, advantages and increasingly important position. He affirmed his wish to strengthen exchanges and information sharing and promote friendship and cooperation between the Hungarian Workers’ Party and the Quang Ninh City Party Organisation, thereby contributing to expanding cooperation between the two sides in areas of mutual interest, especially the economy, culture, education and training.
