On the morning of August 27, localities and enterprises across Quang Ninh Province held a series of simultaneous groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies to celebrate the establishment of Quang Ninh City. Provincial leaders attended the events and extended their congratulations.
Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, attended the inauguration of the Noi Hoang Community Cultural House in Hoang Que Ward, as well as the groundbreaking ceremonies for the An Hung Quang Ninh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project in Uong Bi Ward and the Bach Dang II Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project in Lien Hoa Ward.
These projects are of practical significance and were completed or launched to mark the establishment of Quang Ninh City, while also contributing to socio-economic development and improving local residents’ quality of life.
Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for the VSIP Quang Ninh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project and the Viet Hung Supporting Industrial Cluster Project.
These important industrial infrastructure projects were launched to mark the 81st anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2 and the establishment of Quang Ninh City.
Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project in the northeastern area of Van Don Airport.
The project covers approximately 347.79 hectares, with a total investment of around VND 2.578 trillion. Once fully completed and secondary projects become operational, the industrial park is expected to create 30,000–35,000 jobs. It will also help create a modern industrial park with synchronised infrastructure, providing favourable conditions for businesses to invest, manufacture, apply advanced technologies and generate long-term value for the locality.
Nguyen Hong Duong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Hoang Quoc Viet High School and the Yen Tho Industrial Cluster in Mao Khe Ward.
Vu Van Dien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Green Bay Tech Industrial Park Infrastructure Project in Yen Tu Ward. Also attending was Mr. Seo Won Sam, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam. The project will cover approximately 435 hectares in Yen Tu and Uong Bi wards, with a total investment of around VND 5.7 trillion.
The industrial park is designed as a modern, high-tech and environmentally friendly industrial zone with synchronised infrastructure. On the same day, Vu Van Dien also attended and delivered remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony for the VB Quang Yen Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project.
Nguyen Van Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Commission, attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Lien Hoa Industrial Cluster and the interchange connecting Provincial Road 342 with the Ha Long–Van Don Expressway.
Duong Manh Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Internal Affairs Commission, attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for the social housing project at Plot AOM-2 under the Sub-zone 2 plan and the Thang Long Quang Ninh Hotel Project (Ha Long Bay Marriott Hotel) in Hong Gai Ward.
Nguyen Thi Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilisation Commission, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phuong Nam 2 Industrial Cluster in Yen Tu Ward.
Nguyen Chi Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dong Trieu Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project, developed by Saigon Telecommunication and Technologies Corporation (SAIGONTEL).
Senior Colonel Le Trong Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hai Yen Industrial Cluster Technical Infrastructure Project in Mong Cai 3 Ward.
Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Quang Duc Industrial Cluster Technical Infrastructure Project.
Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended the inauguration of two secondary textile projects and extended his congratulations on their completion: the Ngan Quang Factory – Phase 1 and the Hoa Mau (Vietnam) Chemical Fabric Manufacturing Facility, located in the Texhong–Hai Ha Industrial Park in Quang Ha Commune.
Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Wood Pellet and Forest Products Processing Plant in Vang Danh Ward.
Vu Thi Mai Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Prima Bay commercial services and serviced apartment complex in the Halong Marina Bay Urban Area, Bai Chay Ward.
Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Quang Ninh Provincial National Assembly Delegation, attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Quang Thanh Industrial Cluster and the Dam Ha West A Industrial Cluster projects.
On the same day, Mao Khe Coal Company – VINACOMIN held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Mao Khe Coal Screening and Processing Plant Project, as part of the activities celebrating the establishment of Quang Ninh City.
