On September 16, the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee held a meeting to hear and provide comments on the pre-feasibility study dossiers for transport projects under the approval authority of the City People’s Council. Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee Bui Van Khang presided over the meeting.
The projects include the road connecting the Hai Phong - Ha Long Highway with Ring Road 5 - Hanoi Capital Region; the Central Boulevard project; the Quang Ninh City General Hospital construction project in Hong Gai ward; and the Quang Ninh City General Hospital construction project in Hoanh Bo ward.
Specifically, the road connecting the Hai Phong - Ha Long Highway with Ha Noi Ring Road 5 will have a total length of around 54.5 km. The section passing through Quang Ninh City will run parallel to the Riverside Road. The route is designed to highway standards with six lanes and a speed of 120 km/h, with total investment estimated at around VND 22 trillion.
Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee Bui Van Khang requested the consulting unit to continue completing the dossier, clarify the project’s inter-regional and intra-regional connectivity, its effectiveness in expanding development space and attracting investment, and coordinate with relevant localities to ensure overall project synchronisation.
Regarding the Quang Ninh City General Hospital project in Hong Gai ward, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Bui Van Khang emphasised that the project is being studied for investment and construction with a comprehensive reorganisation of its space and infrastructure, with an expected capacity of around 1,000 beds. The project is also oriented towards developing a complete general hospital at a modern and advanced specialised level, with synchronised facilities modelled on end-line hospitals in centrally governed cities, and with the capacity to gradually approach international standards in management, technical expertise and quality, serving demand for high-quality and specialised medical examination and treatment for residents as well as domestic and international visitors.
Commenting on the pre-feasibility study report for the Quang Ninh City General Hospital project in Hoanh Bo ward, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Bui Van Khang said the hospital must be studied for synchronised investment in technical infrastructure, medical equipment, technology and auxiliary facilities in line with modern and smart general hospital standards. It must also meet requirements for the coordinated deployment of advanced medical techniques, comprehensive digital transformation and expansion capacity in the period after 2035.
Regarding the orientation of the pre-feasibility study report for the Central Boulevard project, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Bui Van Khang requested an overall study of planning and orientations for transport and urban infrastructure projects across the entire area and report back to the City People’s Committee.
