On August 29, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Anh presided over a meeting to review the progress of key infrastructure and cross-border economic cooperation projects in the border area.
After reviewing reports from relevant departments and agencies, Vice Chairman Le Van Anh directed that, regarding the pilot construction of smart border gates at the Mong Cai–Dongxing international border-gate pair, efforts should be accelerated to complete the necessary conditions for the construction of the Bac Luan I and Bac Luan II smart border gates.
Regarding the construction of Bac Luan III Bridge, a cross-border project in the Km3+4 opening area, the Vice Chairman asked relevant departments and agencies to propose a suitable location for the project, ensuring compliance with planning, the border-gate area and current regulations.
