On June 4, in Ha Long city, the Vice-chairman of QNPPC Dang Huy Hau had a meeting with the WINPAC Corporation (Korea) to discuss about the implementation of the waste pressure project in the province of Quang Ninh.
At the meeting, the Director of WINPAC Corporation Bong Youn Lee has introduced to the provincial leaders about buried waste pressure technology of Korean, which has been applied by the Corporation since 2009. Currently, the Corporation is implementing the waste pressure project in Dong Nai province.
Under the orientation of a green and sustainable development, Quang Ninh is willing to apply modern and effective technology aiming at mitigating bad impacts of waste treatment activities on the environment. Mr. Dang Huy Hau requested the Corporation to thoroughly undertake survey of dump areas within the province for implementation of the project, then reported to the QNPPC.
The Vice-chairman of the PPC also required the WINPAC Corporation to gradually transfer the operation of the project as well as to have a careful estimation so that the cost of waste treatment in Quang Ninh could be lower than the ones in Dong Nai.
