On May 30th, in Ha Long city, Vice Chairmwoman of QNPPC Vu Thi Thu Thuy had a courtesy meeting with Ms. Laura Stone- the economic Counselor of the U.S in Vietnam, within the framework of her working visit in Quang Ninh. The discussion was an initiative to set up "the alliance to protect Ha Long bay" forum involving management organizations from private and public sectors in protecting and developing Ha Long Bay in a sustainable way.
At the reception, Vice Chairwoman of QNPPC Vu Thi Thu Thuy has made a brief introduction about the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh. She highly appreciated this innitiative and hoped that the cooperation between the two sides will be effectively developed.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Laura Stone is very happy to be able to contribute to the sustainable development of Ha Long Bay and general development of Quang Ninh province. She highly appreciated Quang Ninh's potentials for socio-economic development and believed that the forum will make great contribution to the protection and sustainable development of Ha Long bay’s outstanding values.
After the reception, Ms. Laura Stone had a meeting with relevant provincial departments to discuss about the way in which the forum should be set up, its scale and operation method.
