On Nov.21, in Ha Long city, Vice Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Thanh chaired a meeting with a delegation of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance led by its Chairman Tsurube Isao.
At the reception, Thanh introduced to the delegation a snapshot of Quang Ninh’s potentials and advantages for development of industry, seaports, tourism, trade and services... He also commented these advantages are favourable conditions but also challenges for the province in balancing the development of industry, tourism and services in a sustainable way ensuring green growth.
Mr. Tsurube Isao thanked Quang Ninh’s leaders for their cordial reception. He then stated that Quang Ninh and Hokkaido have similarities, such as: possessing the world heritages and coal mining industry. Therefore, with modern hi-tech in coal exploitation of Japan, two provinces would have potential cooperation opportunities, especially in the development of the world natural heritage sites. Mr. Tsurube Isao also suggested that the two sides should enhance cultural exchage and cooperation activities.

During the visit in Quang Ninh, the delegation had visited Nam Mau Coal Company and Ha Long bay.
