On Jan. 16, in Ha Long city, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc and Vice-Chairman Nguyen Van Thanh worked with Australian investors headed by Westar Jonathan Ferry-Director of Westar Investment fund.
At the working session, Chairman Doc stressed that Quang Ninh has currently drawn the investment promotion program, focusing on a large number of major projects, including Van Don Economic Zone. He committed that the province will offer the investors the most favorable conditions for their investment within the province.
Speaking at the reception, Jonathan Ferry said that Quang Ninh has many potentials and strengths for them to invest. Currently, the Australian investors are paying much attention to a number of the projects in Van Don EZs as well as investment incentives. He hoped that QNPPC will facilitate them to explore investment opportunities in the projects in Van Don EZ.
For his part, Vice-Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Thanh indicated under its development strategy, Quang Ninh is concentrating on development of Mong Cai and Van Don Economic Zones. Along with that, administrative procedures are reformed to facilitate the investors.
Thanh also emphasized that Quang Ninh attracts not only domestic investment but also FDI. That’s the reason why the province always treasures and attaches the importance to the willingness of the Australian investors to explore the investment opportunities in Quang Ninh.
Jonathan Ferry also highly appreciated the incentives and open policies offered by the province to attract investment. He said that in this visit they would like to explore the investment environment of Quang Ninh, focusing on Van Don EZ in general and a number of major projects on infrastructure development within the EZ.
All the questions related to the incentives and information about Van Don EZ raised by the Australian investors were clearly answered by the leaders of QNPPC.
