On June 27, in Ha Long city, QNPPC had a meeting with Hyder Consulting Group (England) in order to evaluate its capability and concept of tourism development of Quang Ninh for a period of 2012-2020 and in the vision to 2030.
Hyder is one of the leading Consulting Groups in the world with more than 150 years of experiences, specializing in 5 major areas namely: planning and researching tourism; infrastructure; water environment, real estate and public utilities. Hyder Consulting Group has its representative offices all over the world. In Vietnam, it has operated for 20 years and strongly contributed to the development of the country.
According to the group, Quang Ninh has a large tourism potentials, both in culture and nature, especially Ha Long Bay. Therefore, the province needs to make the most of these potentials for tourism development. The group has presented 5 factors to stimulate the demand of Quang Ninh tourism, including attracting investors; enhancing the stability; improving services; technical and transport infrastructure.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ha Quang Long-Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the group to continuously add more information to clearly introduce about the Group particularly, the establishment, development, an outstanding projects that have been implemented by the Group. He also required the Review Panel to closely collaborate with all members of the Group to provide them with necessary information and the best conditions during their survey in the province.
