On Mar. 3, in Ha Long city, Vice-Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Thanh has chaired a meeting with the participation of relevant departments and sectors on removing difficulties in the construction of the Textile Plant implemented by Texhong Textile Group.
At the meeting, representatives from sectors have raised opinions on the investor’s requests, such as: incentive income tax policies applied for enterprises, land tax exemption policies, construction of hostels for workers in the industrial zone, and adequate supply of power and water for the project, etc.
After hearing opinions made by participants, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh has requested relevant departments to review all problems, then propose measures and make recommendations to report to QNPPC for consideration on Mar. 16.
Thanh emphasized that, Texhong Textile Plant is a key project attracting investors to seek for opportunities and invest in Quang Ninh. Therefore, if the project is smoothly and quickly implemented, more investors will come to Quang Ninh. So it is important for sectors and relevant units to actively cope with difficulties so that the project could be successfully implemented.
Texhong Textile Plant, which is located in Hai Yen Industrial zone (in Mong Cai city), has a total investment capital of around US$ 300 mln, with production capacity of 500,000 spindles textile per year. When the plant is put into its operation, it will create jobs for about 5,000 local workers.
