On Nov. 16, QNPPC had a meeting to hear and comment on the plan for IT (Information Technology) application and development of Quang Ninh in 2012 and the plan for implementing project on “developing Vietnam to soon become a strong country in IT and communication”. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dang Huy Hau, vice-chairman of the PPC.
Accordingly, the plan for IT application and development in 2012 of Quang Ninh province has a total implementation capital of nearly VND 163 billion with the aim of building and completing information infrastructure, creating a foundation for developing the E-government and extensively applying IT in all areas, namely: socio-economic area; security and defense; foreign affairs….
Regarding to the plan for implementing the project on “developing Vietnam to become a strong country in IT and communication” of Quang Ninh in the period of 2011-2015, Quang Ninh is aimed at being named in the top ten leading provinces in IT development and application in Vietnam by 2015. Additionally, IT will be introduced as an important driving force contributing to the sustainable growth and development of Quang Ninh province.
At the meeting, participants have discussed about the issues related to IT application in communes and districts, such as: human resource development; Internet security; supervision and inspection of the investment in projects; setting the targets that suit actual situation of the localities so that these targets could be achieved in the coming year.
To conclude the meeting, Mr. Dang Huy Hau has requested relevant provincial sectors and departments to complete the above-mentioned plans and to upgrade the integrated data center of the province by the end of 2011. Mr. Vice-chairman of the PPC stressed that it is important to decide the IT investment items in 2012. Relevant sectors need to draw plan for investment preparation to set up available capital resource; reviewing human resource; especially public health and education must be given the first priority in IT application…
