According to the statistics from Quang Ninh Management Board of Economic Zones, the province has attracted 70 investment projects so far in industrial zones, including 22 FDI projects and 48 domestic investment ones. At the present, 37 projects have been operated. Only in 2011, the domestic investment capital was estimated to reach VND 4,814.14 billion; the FDI projects attained USD 27.46 million. The investment capital that have been disbursed by the FDI enterprises was about USD 8.97 million and the one by domestic enterprises was VND 184 billion.
Despite of difficulties of the national economy, trade and production of enterprises in the industrial zones gained considerable achievements. Their quota of revenue and import-export turnover was fairly high; total contribution to the State budget was estimated to reach 1,666 billion.
