Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai has just agreed to the Ministry of Transport, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, and other relevant ministries regarding the adjustment of Van Don airport’s location. He also assigned QNPPC to partly adjust the general plan of Van Don economic zone (EZ) to the year of 2020 and oriented to 2030.
Hai also directed the QNPPC to carry out investment projects in accordance with stipulated procedures.
According to the project approved by the Government, Van Don airport will be located in Doan Ket commune, Van Don district.
However, after undertaking the research serving for development of general plan of Van Don Economic Zone, the consultants have advised to locate the airport in Binh Dan commune of the district in order to fit the growth of Van Don EZ.
