Tae-Rim Group (from Korea) explores investment opportunities in Quang Ninh

On Dec. 7, vice-chairman of QNPPC – Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh had a meeting with Tae-Rim Group (from Korea) to discuss the details of the cooperation and investment in projects on seaport in the Northern Cai Bau (Van Don) Island and the Park Complex in the East of this Island.

At the meeting, leaders of Tae-Rim Group said that after the working session between Quang Ninh province and the Group in October, 2011, the group agreed to have further research and prepared necessary procedures to participate in the investment in the two above-projects.

Regarding the seaport project in the Northern Cai Bau Island, the Group will collaborate with a Korean company to invest by using the ODA capital of the Korean government for Vietnam. In terms of recreation project in the Park Complex in the Eastern Cai Bau island, Tae-Rim group will work with Bookook Company, two Korean banks and an Investment Fund of the U.S to consider the investment in the project under the form of FDI.

After hearing the presentation of the investor, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh acclaimed the Group’s willingness to participate in the investment in Quang Ninh. He stressed that Quang Ninh always offers the best conditions and convenient administrative procedures to the domestic as well as foreign investors who wish to explore investment opportunities within the province.

Mr. Vice-Chairman highly appreciated the Group’s efforts in researching the possibility of the project. QNPPC wishes to welcome more large investors like the Tae-Rim Group to explore and invest in Quang Ninh. He also emphasized that the seaport project will be a motivation one, contributing to the development of Van Don Economic Zone. The PPC has requested Department of Planning and Investment to collaborate with the Group to complete necessary procedures to implement this investment.
