By diversifying trade fairs, exhibitions and business networking activities at home and abroad, Quang Ninh is creating more opportunities for OCOP and other local speciality products to reach consumers. These events enable businesses to better understand market demand, find distribution partners, gradually build their brands and expand their sales markets.
In 2026, Quang Ninh issued a list of priority locations and sectors for organising trade fairs and exhibitions across the city. Since the beginning of the year, numerous events have been held in connection with tourism, cultural activities and businesses' needs for market connectivity. These include the Quang Ninh OCOP Spring Fair 2026, Quang Ninh OCOP Summer Fair 2026, the Droppii 2026 Trade Promotion and Product Exhibition Fair, OCOP and trade fairs in Ba Che, Binh Lieu, Hoanh Mo and Dong Trieu, and the OCOP Fair and Culinary Space celebrating the establishment of Quang Ninh City.
Beyond organising local trade fairs and exhibitions, Quang Ninh has also actively supported businesses and their products in participating in trade promotion activities in other provinces and cities across Vietnam and in international markets in 2026. Notable events include the 15th Vietnam International Travel Mart, the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo, the Vietnam-Laos Trade Fair 2026 and the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo.
The effectiveness of these trade promotion activities is clearly reflected in their scale and the level of business participation. In the first nine months of 2026, the city organised 15 trade fairs and exhibitions locally and provided information on 14 overseas and 24 domestic trade promotion programmes. These activities have helped businesses proactively access market information, seek partners, expand distribution networks, keep abreast of consumer trends and improve production and business efficiency.
Experience from implementation shows that Quang Ninh no longer regards trade promotion simply as organising a few seasonal fairs. Instead, the city is working to make it a regular, targeted activity that closely integrates promotion, supply-demand connections, brand development and market expansion. Particularly amid the rapid growth of e-commerce and modern sales methods, trade promotion activities need to continue evolving, with greater application of digital technology and stronger online connections between businesses, consumers and partners.
In the final months of the year, Quang Ninh plans to organise the Quang Ninh Autumn 2026 Regional Specialities Exhibition, the Autumn-Winter 2026 Trade and OCOP Products Fair, and trade promotion and OCOP product fairs in Van Don Special Zone, Quang Ha and Quang Tan communes, and Cua Ong and Mong Cai 1 wards, among other localities. These events will continue to provide opportunities for businesses to showcase their products, establish trade connections, stimulate consumer demand and promote Quang Ninh's image.
