SonaSea Dragon Bay tourism complex to be built in Van Don

On Sep. 12, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long chaired a working session with CEO group regarding the proposal of building SonaSea Dragon Bay tourism complex in Van Don district.

According to the proposal, the SonaSea Dragon Bay tourism complex will be invested with the total investment capital of VND 5,000 billion in Ha Long commune, Van Don district. The 94 ha tourism complex will include a hotel complex with 5,000 rooms, a water park, a shopping center, a marina, and a beach, etc. This project is expected to be an attractive high-class destinations alluring a great deal of both domestic and foreign tourists to Quang Ninh.

In addtion to their proposal, the representatives of the CEO group and the consultant,  Nikon Sekkei Ltd., Co., proposed QNPPC to build a road connecting this project with the 334 Provincial road.

At the meeting, the leader of Van Don district, as well as representatives of other relevant departments, also proposed the investor to pay attention to the environmental protection while imlementing the project, making a good harmony with the existing projects in order to form a great eco-tourism and resort complex in the district.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of Quang Ninh Nguyen Duc Long highly applauded CEO group's proposals and commitment. He also stressed that when completed, the SonaSea Dragon Bay tourism complex would be a new tourism product to attract tourists to Van Don, developing it into a hi-class center for eco-tourism and marine resort. However, the investor needs to consider to make some main adjustments in terms of planning and design in order to match the development goal of the province. He also noted that all the components of the project should be built in accordance with 5-star international standards.

He asked the invetsor to add the two islands adjacent to the sea into the investment plan. Besides, the detailed report on the fucntional zoning must be completed by September, 2017 to recommend to the QNPPC for consideration and investment permission.
