On Oct. 24, in Ha Long city, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with Mr. Ali Rashid Lootah, the Chairman of Limitless World LLC Dubai and Nakheel LLC Dubai regarding the development of Ha Long Star eco-tourism project (in Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city). The meeting was also attended by Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Doc, other provincial leaders, and the investor’s partners.
Covering an area of 125ha, Ha Long Star has a total investment capital of US$ 550 million. It was kicked off in 2007 with the aim of building a 5-star hotel with 250 luxurious rooms; 226 villas, 85 street-houses, 114 apartments and a commercial center. However, it has been delayed for years due to financial difficulties.
As the Chairman of the company, Mr. Ali Rashid Lootah said that this project is ragarded as a milestone marking the cooperation tie between Quang Ninh and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). He wished that the QNPPC would renew investment certificate to the Company. He also suggested that Quang Ninh should open a trade and tourism representative and promotional office in Dubai to promote and exchange information, as UAE lacks information about Quang Ninh. Mr. Ali Rashid Lootah pledged to assist Quang Ninh in opening this representative office in the earliest time and work with other leading economic corporations in the region as well as in the world. He commented that Quang Ninh’s great tourism potentials would be effectively promoted and developed if they are tapped and properly invested in a right way.
To conclude the meeting, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Pham Minh Chinh committed to provide to the investors with the best conditions in temrs of investment incentives and relevant administrative procedures during their project implementation. Secretary also stressed that Quang Ninh always warmly welcome all investors who, in turn, mustbe responsible for ensuring the quality and progress of the project implementation as agreed.
