On April 24, in Ha Long city, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh has received Mr. Ho Tek Son - Representative Head of Samsung C&T in Vietnam and his entourage.
At the reception, Mr. Ho Tek Son briefed an overview of Samsung C&T. With its experiences, the Group wishes to invest in Quang Ninh in order to contribute to the province’s development.
For his part, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh sincerely thanked the investors for their willingness to seek for investment opportunities in Quang Ninh. He introduced to the delegation about 3 different outstanding opportunities of Quang Ninh. The first one is the chance to develop entertainment industry based on promoting advantages of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay; Secondly, Quang Ninh has rich resources of clays and limestone. Finally, Quang Ninh is the province has the largest coal deposit in the ASEAN region, accounting for 95 % of coal production capacity of the nationwide.
Vice-Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Thanh has introduced to the delegation in details of the key projects which QNPPC is attracting investment. This is where the cooperative strategy between Quang Ninh province and Samsung Asia-Pacific can be built. He requested the investors to work with IPA Quang Ninh to have further research of investment opportunities.
