Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc undertook a survey on April 16 to check the progress of the Ha Long Sun Square, the venue of the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year and Ha Long Carnival 2018, as well as other significant tourism events.
Invested by the Sun group with the total investment capital of over VND2,000 billion, the 12-ha project locates at Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long city. The construction kicked off in late November, 2017 and is expected to be completed by April 25.
Ha Long Sun Square is divided into functional components, including reception area; water square; art flower garden, car park, open audience stage, etc. The hightlight of the project is an open stage with a capacity of more than 10,000 seats.
In order to complete the project as committed, the contractor is currently speeding up its progress. Around 2,7000 workers are hard working in 3 shifts of the day. To date, 90 percent of work has been done.
Addressing the inspection, Secretary Nguyen Van Doc hailed great efforts of both contractor and workers during the implementation of the project to ensure the deadline and best quality of the project.
He also stressed that, as the opening ceremony of this significant event is coming up, the investor and contractor must do their best so as to fullfil the work by April 26. Besides the construction quality and the dealine of the project, the contractor and workers must pay attention to ensure labour safety, environment santitation, and fire prevention.
