Reviewing land fund for ports and logistics development in Quang Yen

On August 19, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang chaired a meeting with the People Committee of Quang Yen town to review the planning and land fund to develop port and logistics services in the locality.

As evaluated, the total area for port construction in Quang Yen town is 312.24 ha while the total area of land for port services and logistics is 936.15 ha.

Therefore, in order to have land fund for developing post-port logistics and concentrated logistics services in Quang Yen under Resolution 15-NQ/TU, it is necessary to re-evaluate the whole land use planning in combination with reviewing the overall development for proposals.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of Quang Ninh asked the Department of Construction to study and review land fund in the areas where land has not been handed over to investors yet for the planning adjustment in order to ensure that 3,000 to 5,000 hectares of land will be used for developing post-port logistics and logistics areas in Quang Yen. He also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the Department of Construction to review and consult the QNPPC with the forest land use planning in Quang Yen so that seaport and logistics services would be effectively developed as planned.

The Chairman also assigned the Department of Transport to act as a focal point to advise the province on the project of dredging Chanh river channel and the anchoring area in Quang Yen Town with the investment from all sources, to submit to the Ministry of Transport for consideration. Department of Industry and Trade was requested to be the focal point to review and study petroleum depots in the town then propose to the Provincial People's Committee.
