Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Huy Hau on Nov. 27 chaired a meeting regarding the disbursement of component projects under the Smart City Model Implementation Plan of Quang Ninh Province.
The Smart City Model Implementation project in Quang Ninh province in the period of 2017-2020 focuses on setting 32 tasks and projects, such as additional construction of technical infrastructure and software platform for smart city; building smart schools in Ha Long city, and intelligent traffic management system; information technology (IT) application to ensure order and security; as well as applying IT in improving tourism efficiency...
To date, the projects have basically been implemented as scheduled. As reported, the province has completed the construction of smart city architecture and e-government architecture as an important basis in deploying information systems to ensure safety, connectivity and data integration to the operating center. Currently, the investors of the projects continue to speed up the progress of component projects and complete disbursement procedures as prescribed.
Concluding the meeting, standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Huy Hau asked related units to speed up the implementation of component projects under the Smart City Model Implementation projects. He also asked them to select the best contractors to carry out the project’s components so that they could ensure the projects’quality.
Focusing on the role of the Smart Operations Center in the process of building a smart city, Quang Ninh’s standing Vice Chairman asked the related units to quickly complete the component items to put the center into operation. In addition, relevant departments and sectors are requested to speed up the disbursement, and deploy component projects’ items to ensure the progress of building smart cities in Quang Ninh province.
