On September 15, Quang Ninh’s Chairman, Nguyen Van Thang, presided over the meeting regarding the progress of removing difficulties in investment procedures for investors in Van Don Economic Zone.
Quang Ninh’s Chairman emphasized that Van Don plays a strategic role to both the country and the province’s development. Along with Mong Cai, Quang Ninh defines Van Don as a pillar in the process of shifting from “brown” to “ green” growth. This is a great opportunity for not only Van Don’s development but also investors’ business. The meeting reflects province authority, departments, and localities’ determination in solving difficulties for investors and boosting projects.
According to Van Don Economic Zone Management Board, to date, there have been 146 investment projects in the economic zone. 38 of them have been completed. 27 have been given ground for implementation. 54 have not been given ground. And 28 have been reclaimed.
