Quang Yen town in recent years has made efforts to be one of the key localities contributing to the development of Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development. With the aim of becoming a new attractive destination to not only domestic but also foreign investors, Quang Yen has undertaken a variety of measures to improving the bussiness climate.
Accordingly, Quang Yen has focused on the administrative reform and business climate improvement. As reported, 349 administrative procedures have been declared and dealt with at the administrative center ensuring the transparency and timeline thereby contributing to raise the quality of services and satisfying the people and investors.
Moreover, hotlines have been launched to receive people’s complaints, feedbacks and denunciations; a number of meetings have regularly been held for the town’s leaders to respond to enterprises’ proposals and questions in the first half of each month.
In 2017, Quang Yen is one of the six localities to pilot the surveying system through social network of DDCI (Department and District Competitive Index). Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Quang Yen launched a fanpage which helps the locals, visitors and enterprises to be updated with the information about the policies, incentives, administrative procedures as well as development orientation of the town in the most effective way.
In an effort to allure investments to the town, and raise its competitive capacity, Quang Yen has attracted a number of investment projects on transport, industry, eco-tourism and services. The highlight among those is the Seaport and Industrial Cluster Development Project in Mac dynasty swamp with the total capital of nearly VND7,000 billion by Trung Dong group; Vingroup, Sungroup and Amatar group are also doing their research in Ha Long Urban and Khoai River hi-tech Industry and Urban Complexes projects, etc.
As reported, 420 enterprises that have strengths in construcion materials, machinery repair, agricultural products processing are currently operating within Quang Yen town, greatly contributing to the growth of the town’s society and economy. They have created jobs for around 2,000 employees and contributed around VND50 billion in the town’s budget each year, acounting for 40% in the total budget collection of the town.
With its efforts and determination in supporting enterpises and attracting investment, the competitive capacity of Quang Yen town has been improved. In 2016, Quang Yen ranked fifth in DDCI among 14 localities in the province, and strives to maintain this result in 2017.
