The Ministry of Rural and Agriculture Development and Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee will jointly organize a conference on “Promoting the export of agriculture and forestry-fishery products to China” on Nov. 2-3 in Ha Long city.
The conference is expected to draw the participation of leaders of the relevant ministries, sectors and localities, as well as a number of export and import enterprises of agricultural products between Vietnam and China.
The conference will evaluate the curent state and development trend of Vietnam-China border trade, and the export and import of the agricultural, forestry and fishery products through border gates in Quang Ninh province. Particularly, the conference will deal with difficulties facing exporting activities of the enterprises and expect to reach agreement on several issues in terms of technical bariers so that products would be exported to Chinese markets. Robust measures will be also discussed to foster the development of Vietnam-China border trade.
It aims to bolster the export of commodities and create chances to connecting hubs of exporting and importing commodities to China through the border gates in Quang Ninh, thereby promoting the role of Quang Ninh and Guangxi provinces as a bridge in the Kun ming-Lao Cai-hanoi-Haiphong-Quangninh economic corridor.
The event will include a signing ceremony of an agreement between authorities of Mong Cai and Dongxi cities on supporting export and import enterprises; and a MoU of the both sides’ bussineses on cooperation in exporting and importing. During this event, the OCOP Quang Ninh Promotion Week 2018 will be held aiming at introducing agricultural, and forestry and fishery products of Quang Ninh.
