On Dec. 16, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang led an inspection team to survey and review the plan on investing in the road connecting Cai Lan Industrial Park to Ha Long - Van Don expressway.
Discussion by representatives of the relevant departments, sectors and Ha Long City People's Committee focused on clarifying the effectiveness of the project's investment; and considering to adjust the plan so that the road could be suitable to new transport works and extended roads in Ha Long City.
To conclude the working session, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang affirmed that the road plays a significant role in creating favorable conditions for people to travel and promote the investment effectiveness of transport projects of Quang Ninh in general and the industrial zones in particular. Having said that, he requested related departments and sectors to fulfill the preparatory works for the project so that it could be conducted as soon as possible. Particularly, Ha Long City People's Committee was asked to strictly manage the land fund for land clearance.
As designed, the 7.9km road connecting Cai Lan industrial zone to Ha Long - Van Don expressway has 4-8 lanes. The first point starts from Cai Lan Industrial Park to Viet Hung Industrial Park and the 279 National Road, and the last point is connected to the intersection at the Km5 + 440 Ha Long - Van Don Highway. A 6-door toll station will be built before connecting to Ha Long - Van Don highway.
