On November 1st, in London (the U.K), Quang Ninh provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Doc, Chairman of QNPPC, joined a conference on boosting tourism in the markets of Europe and the United Kingdom. The conference was jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the participation of Vietnam's ambassadors in European countries as well as representatives of international travel agencies and press journalists.
At the conference, Quang Ninh's Chairman - Mr. Nguyen Van Doc introduced a snapshot of Quang Ninh's potential for economic development and mechanisms and incentives to attract investments in various areas, especially tourism. He signed a MoU between Quang Ninh and Embassy of Vietnam in the U.K and North Ireland regarding cooperation in tourism and investment promotion anf attraction.
Under the MoU, the two sides have agreed on the important contents. For instance: To regularly update information Quang Ninh's tourism promotion programs and investment incentives at the events and major activities. To provide the favorable conditions to enable the Quang Ninh's delegation to enter the U.K and the U.K's enterprises to Quang Ninh for exploring investment opportunities; The embassy of Vietnam in the U.K and North Ieland will support Quang Ninh to organize programs on boosting and promoting tourism, trade and investment in the U.K.
The two sides annually sum up to evaluate the outcome of the plans and the effectiveness of the cooperative activities. Both sides also agreed on collaborating in mobilizing various resources for implementation of the plans, such as: to implement the programs of tourism and invesment promotion, a part from the provincial budget of Quang Ninh, sponsor from organizations and enterprises in the U.K and Vietnam will be encouraged.
