Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy had a coutersy meeting with a delegation of the Communist Youth League of China led by Mr. Liguoyang, Deputy Secretary of An Hui’s Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, in the framework of the third Vietnam-China Youth Festival from November 7-10.
The festival’s major activities will take place in 7 Vietnamese provinces of Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho and Lao Cai with the focus on youth’s role in environmental protection, sustainable development, cultural protection, tourism development and socio-economic development. In Quang Ninh province, the 204 Chinese delegates will participate in many activities, such as talk on environmental protection and sustainable development, singing performance, visiting Halong bay and Ba Vang pagoda, etc.
At the reception, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy hailed the youth festival, which has helped enhance mutual understanding and trust between Vietnamese and Chinese young people, contributing to fostering the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership of the two countries.
The Youth union of the two countries in general, and of the two localities in particular will boost more and more exchange activities in order to promote the young people’s role in the socio and economic development of their countries and their provinces in the time ahead, she hoped.
The first Vietnam-China Youth Festival was organised in Guangxi province, China, in August 2010, and the second took place in the Zhuang Autonomous Region in Guangxi province, in November 2013.
