On Feb. 11, Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky inspected the current state of land use of Cai Lan Industrial Park and the preparatory work of some key projects in Ha Long City, including “the road connecting Cai Lan Industrial Park crossing Viet Hung Industrial Park to Ha Long - Van Don Expressway" and "Cua Luc bridge I".
As reported, "The road connecting Cai Lan Industrial Park crossing Viet Hung Industrial Park to Ha Long - Van Don Expressway" project is now under the phase of investment preparation. This 11.69 km road will be built with a total investment of VND 1,299 billion, from the provincial budget and Ha Long city budget while the Cua Luc Bridge I has a length of more than 2.8 km and will be built with the total investment of over VND 2,000 billion, from the provincial budget.
Inspecting these two projects, Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky emphasized that the investment of these important projects aims to gradually improve Quang Ninh's transport infrastructure; thereby, creating breakthroughs in attracting investment and promoting socio-economic development.
Having said that, he then unanimously agreed that the construction of the project connecting Cai Lan Industrial Park crossing Viet Hung Industrial Zone to Ha Long - Van Don Expressway and the Cua Luc Bridge I will be kicked off in the first quarter of 2020 and by April. 30, respectively.
He also checked the current state of land use in Cai Lan Industrial Park with a total area of nearly 260 hectares, which is divided into two phases. Currently, the businesses that are operating in Cai Lan Industrial Park has small-scale production, outdated technology and low added value.
After checking Cai Lan Industrial park and working with relevant provincial departments, agencies and Ha Long City People's Committee, Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky emphasized that Quang Ninh determines Ha Long will be developed under the multipolar model, of which Cua Luc Bay will be regarded as the connection center with urban development direction along the coastal corridor of Ha Long Bay.
He urged relevant provincial functional departments and Ha Long City People's Committee to report to the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee in March, 2020 before summitting to the Provincial Party’s Standing Committee for consideration.
