On Nov 14th, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairman, Bui Van Khang, had a courtesy meeting with a delegation from China’s Yunnan province, led by its vice-governor Li Ma Lin.
At the reception, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairman, Bui Van Khang emphasized the friendly cooperative tie between Quang Ninh and China’s provinces and cities, including Yunnan. Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and (Yunnan) has been working well within the framework of economic corridor cooperation between Vietnam’s Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hanoi, and Lao Cai, and China’s Yunnan. The two provinces singed a number of MOUs and letters of determination, especially to enhance tourism cooperation between Ha Long City (Quang Ninh) and Lijiang (Yunnan) and implementing “Journey of Light” program in 2020 in Quang Ninh.
The Yunnan’s Vice-governor congratulated Quang Ninh for socio-economic achievement over the past years. She then stated that Yunnan would like to boost cooperation with Vietnam’s localities, including Quang Ninh and Yunnan’s authority would require relevant departments and units to enhance exchange and cooperation with Quang Ninh in order to specify signed agreements between the two provinces.
