Within the framework of a working visit to Japan, Quang Ninh delegation had a meeting with Hokkaido University on the possible cooperation in education, Japanese language training courses, and teacher exchange.
In the context of globalization, Quang Ninh delegation hoped that Ha Long University and Hokkaido University would develop a good cooperation in different fields. Accordingly, the 2 educational establishments would offer training programs in form of 2+2 model which means 2 years of training at Ha Long University and 2 years of training at Hokkaido University or 3+1 model; short-term training courses for Vietnamese students; and study tours for Japanese students. Quang Ninh also proposed that Hokkaido University would send lecturers to Ha Long University to teach Japanese language. It is also recommended that at the first stage, 2 departments of foreign languages at the 2 universities would sign a cooperation agreement, making a good foundation for a comprehensive cooperation between the 2 tertiary establishments.
Acknowledging Quang Ninh’s development in particular and Vietnam’s in general over years, especially in the fields of education and training, Hokkaido University committed to conduct necessary procedures to implement cooperation with Ha Long University in the coming time.
