On October 10, at AEON MALL Ha Long in Bai Chay ward, Quang Ninh City Party Committee Secretary Quan Minh Cuong joined delegates at the “Planting Seeds for a Green Wave” tree-planting ceremony. Organised by AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd., the programme reflects the company’s commitment to working alongside the local community in environmental protection and building a sustainable future.
At the ceremony, delegates planted nearly 7,000 trees from 25 selected species within the shopping centre grounds, helping create a greener landscape and environment for the area. The activity demonstrates the company’s responsibility towards the community and the environment, in line with the locality’s green and sustainable development orientation, while also affirming the investor’s long-term commitment to Quang Ninh.
Alongside tree planting, the company is also stepping up measures to save energy, use renewable energy and water resources efficiently, and develop an environmentally friendly shopping centre, with the aim of making AEON MALL Ha Long not only a shopping destination but also a community connection space.
In recognition of its environmental protection efforts, AEON MALL Ha Long was awarded LOTUS green building certification by the Vietnam Green Building Council at the ceremony. This marks an important milestone recognising AEON MALL’s efforts to realise shopping centres that are built and operated in an environmentally friendly manner.
In recent years, cooperation between Quang Ninh and Japanese partners has continued to be strengthened and expanded. As of the end of September 2026, Japan had 23 investment projects in Quang Ninh with total registered capital of more than USD 2.8 billion, ranking second among countries and territories investing in the locality.
Against this backdrop, AEON MALL Ha Long, with nearly 140 stores in its first phase and plans for expansion in the second phase, is an important project for the city’s commercial infrastructure. It contributes to boosting consumption, creating jobs and adding a modern shopping and experiential destination for residents and visitors.
