AEON MALL Ha Long is expected to open in November as construction crews complete work on the shopping complex, a project worth more than 5.2 trillion dong ($200 million) that is expected to create about 2,500 jobs.
Located in Bai Chay ward, the mall broke ground in February 2025. The project covers more than 13 hectares, including 9.1 hectares for the shopping complex and 3.92 hectares for connecting roads and related infrastructure.
The mall has a total floor area of about 130,000 square meters, including approximately 54,000 square meters of leasable space. It will feature rooftop solar panels, renewable energy systems and construction technologies designed to improve protection against flooding and storms.
AEON MALL Ha Long will be AEON Group's 10th shopping mall in Vietnam, with about 140 stores planned. More than half of the brands are expected to enter the Quang Ninh market for the first time.
The complex will include retail stores, restaurants, entertainment facilities, a children's play area and a movie theater.
As planned, the mall could attract around 10 million visits a year once fully operational. The developer also expects the project to create approximately 2,500 permanent jobs.
The new mall is expected to expand shopping and entertainment options for residents and tourists while supporting growth in Quang Ninh's retail and service sectors.
