The grand opening ceremony for Athena Premium Cruise, themed "Sail into Exceptional", took place at Ha Long International Cruise Port on October 31 and November 1, 2026. The event featured artistic performances, a gala dinner on the bay, as well as sightseeing tours and onboard experiences for invited guests, partners and travel agents.
With a length of 110 meters and a total area of up to 10,000m², the cruise ship features a range of standard cabins and five VIP suites. It has been designed as a floating resort complex, seamlessly combining accommodation, dining, relaxation and entertainment in a single journey. A highlight of the cruise is its Wellness Cruise model, which focuses on balancing rest, relaxation and energy recovery. Notably, Athena Premium is an overnight cruise ship in Ha Long Bay with an Onsen system, bringing Japanese-style mineral bathing to a luxury setting at sea.
The ship also offers more than 13 wellness and leisure facilities, including a spa, sauna, gym, 3D golf simulator, meditation room, karaoke room, yoga facilities, an outdoor swimming pool and an astronomical observation deck. As Quang Ninh City continues to diversify its tourism products, improve service quality and enhance the destination’s appeal, models combining high-end accommodation with wellness, entertainment and event facilities could provide more options for visitors.
