QNPPC works with ISC Corporation

On September 11th, in Ha Long city, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Pham Minh Chinh; Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc and Vice-Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Thanh had a meeting with ISC Corporation (Corp.) and Tuan Chau group to discuss about the key contents regarding investment cooperation in Van Don EZ and Tuan Chau International Entertainment Complex.

At the meeting, Chairman of ISC Corporation -Jack Maher expressed that he was very impressed of  the potential and development of Quang Ninh. Over the last two years, ISC has studied possible investment and drawn the planning and signed a contract to invest in the Entertainment Complex Project on Tuan Chau island with the total capital of US$ 7.5 billion. Besides, ISC has also called for other American investors to undertake the survey and study investment possibility in Van Don. Therefore, at the meeting, ISC Corporation wished to be permitted by QNPPC and  Vietnamese Government to carry out their investment in Van Don at the earliest convenience.

For his part, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Pham Minh Chinh has made a brief introduction about advantages and strengths of Van Don EZ. The development of this economic zone  is derived from a new approach, transfering in a harmonious way from from “heated” growth to “green” growth in the direction of sustainable development. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh suggested that after this meeting, a cooperation agreement should be signed by the sides aiming at enhancing the effective and long-lasting cooperation tie for the mutual benefits. He committed that Quang Ninh will provide the best conditions to ISC Corp. and Tuan Chau group during their investment implementation in Van Don.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Doc confirmed that QNPPC agreed to ink a MoU with ISC Corp regarding investment cooperation in Van Don EZ. He then assigned his vice- Nguyen Van Thanh and Quang Ninh’s experts to closely work with ISC.
