On Sept 12, QNPPC had a meeting with the Advanced International Join-stock Company (AIC) and large investment groups from Japan, Germany, and Malaysia to listen to the reports on some programs and projects planned to be implemented in Quang Ninh.
The meeting was steered by Mr Pham Minh Chinh, the member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and chaired by Mr Nguyen Van Doc, chairman of QNPPC.
At the meeting, the representative of AIC introduced a number of fields that the company is running, including education and vocational training; building of environmental pollution treatment system; science and technology. In addition, AIC expected that Quang Ninh province will provide the company with favorable conditions to invest in some other areas.Also at the meeting, the representatives of the some investment groups, namely: Jaks Resource, SeGi University (Malaysia), Kubota and Nikei Shiken (Japan), Res- Resources (Germany) presented their investment capacity in Vietnam in some areas, such as: urban planning, environmental pollution treatment, science, technology and environment, kindergarten education, human resource training for tourism…At the same time, they also proposed a number of measures applying high-technology in construction and tourism…In his speech, Mr Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the presence of AIC company and other investment groups in Quang Ninh. He wished that AIC will support Quang Ninh in implementing the projects through its good relationship with the ministries and departments at the central level. The province will provide the investors with favourable conditions to smoothly carry out the project. He also hoped that the investors will ensure the progress and deadline during the implementation of the projects. Base on the opinions of the representatives from the provincial departments, Mr Nguyen Van Doc concluded that after this meeting, a memorandum between AIC company and other groups will be prepared. He especially expressed his interest in planning and tourism issues that have been proposed by the partners. He wished that AIC will accompany the province in calling for more investors. AIC will be the focal point representing for other investors to actively collaborate with the Department of Planning and Investment to carry out the relevant components under the memorandum.
