In the afternoon of Sept 19, in Ha Long city, QNPPC had a meeting with the delegation from Osaka University and JICA project (Japan). Vice-chairwoman of QNPPC – Mrs. Vu Thi Thu Thuy has received and worked with the delegation.
At the meeting, Prof. Koji Otsuka- director of the JICA project has reported on results of phase II (2009-2011) of the project . In the past 3 years, the JICA project has been effectively implemented focusing on various activities aiming at improving Ha Long Bay’s environment, for instance: enhancing environmental protection activities; reducing rubbish and waste water from tourist boats…
Representative of the delegation has introduced an overview of the JICA bio-fuel project- in Ha Long. The project will be continuously funded by JICA to be implemented from October, 2011 to September, 2016.
Speaking at the meeting, Mrs. Vu Thi Thu Thuy hoped that the JICA project will continuously focus its activities on sustainable improvement of Ha Long Bay’s environment. . QNPPC will direct relevant departments and functional sectors to collaborate with the JICA to effectively implement the project’s activities.
