The provincial Party Secretary Pham Minh Chinh on March 19 has received and worked with Prof. Nakamura, representative of SE Group and his entourage who are seeking for investment opportunities in Quang Ninh.
The group is interested in the project on building the road linking Ha Long city and Hanoi-Haiphong highway. In fact, this project was assigned by QNPPC to two joint venture domestic contractors to carry out. However, the SE Group still wishes to partly invest in this project including the construction of Bach Dang bridge- a big bridge on the road connecting Ha Long city with Hanoi-Haiphong highway. They proposed to build the bridge in the form of BOT and BT. The group also committed to ensure the investment capital source, constructing the bridge with advanced technology and complete the project on time.
For his part, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh higly appreciated SE Group’s interest and willingness to invest in the province. He said that QNPPC commits to provide the Group with the best conditions in undertaking research and drawing plan. He also stressed that if the project that SE has proposed is approved, the group will need to speed up the project implementation so that the whole project including the bridge and the road could be completed by the end of 2014. The Provincial Party leaders have also requested representatives of the Group to closely work with leaders of the QNPPC to reach agreement on this issue.
