On March 20, in Ha Long city, the Provincial Party Secretary Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting with foreign investors regarding tourism development of Quang Ninh.
At the meeting, Director of the Peninsular Investment and Development Ltd. Co, highly appreciated potentials and strengths of Quang Ninh for tourism development. However, the investors commented that current tourism planning of the province is not commensurate with its advantages. They then proposed their ideas to develop Quang Ninh tourism in the future. Chinh acknowledged the contribution of investors to the development of Quang Ninh tourism. He stressed that, Quang Ninh particularly focuses on development of spiritual tourism, resort tourism, and business tourism. As a result, Quang Ninh is eager to receive more new ideas and methods from the investors during the cooperation. The Party leader also emphasized that tourism products must not only feature the province’s characteristics but also preserve and sustain its natural landscape and environment.
Chinh committed that Quang Ninh will offer the best conditions to the investors to implement the project, and reform its administrative procedures to create an open and transparent investment environment.
