On August 21, in Ha Noi, the Quang Ninh provincial delegation led by Chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Doc had a meeting with Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki - the Japanese Extraordinary Ambassador in Vietnam regarding various projects, namely: the highway connecting Hanoi-Haiphong with Ha Long city, as well as the major projects that QNPPC is calling for ODA and FDI capital from Japan. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh-Vice Chairman of QNPPC and other representatives from provincial sectors and departments.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Doc highlighted the good cooperation tie between Vietnam and Japan in general and Quang Ninh-Japan in particular. He stressed that in recent years, the Japanese government has greatly contributed to the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh through a number of ODA projects, including 18A National Road, Bai Chay bridge, Cai Lan Port... and important projects on environment, mangrove plantation. The leader of QNPPC also informed Mr.Yasuaki Tanizaki about the working visit of the provincial delegation to Japan in July 2012 with good results.
For his part, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Vietnam highly valued the close-knit relationship between the two sides and impressed about Quang Ninh's recent great efforts in calling for investment. He emphasized that currently many Japanese investors are paying their much attention to investment projects in Vietnam, especially infrastructure investment projects. In his opinion, Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular have rich potentials creating good investment opportunities, Japanese investors therefore have many investment options. Mr. Yasuaki Tanizaki hoped that QNPPC would continuously improve its investment environment and provide the Japanese enterprises with the best conditions to seek for investment opportunities. Regarding the projects are called for ODA from Japan, he promises to consider and present his recommendations to the Japanese government.
