In order to deploy the Prime Minister's guidance on ensuring import and export activities and goods transportation at border areas while meeting requirements of the prevention and control of acute respiratory disease caused by novel corona virus nCoV, after the talk held on Feb. 6 between Mong Cai City (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China) on the resume of customs clearance via Bac Luan Bridge No.2, functional authorities have concentrated on the preparatory work for the resume.
Accordingly, the functional bodies of Mong Cai City have closely cooperated with the Mong Cai International Border Gate Guard Station and import-export enterprises to spray with disinfectants at areas where goods import and export procedures are carried out, checkpoints of the Border Guard, Border Gate Customs, as well as waiting areas for procedures. A temporary isolated room is also available in case of discovering infected cases.
Customs clearance was planned to be resumed at Bac Luan Bridge No.2 on Feb.7 but cancelled due to some of the objective conditions.
The resume of customs clearance via Bac Luan Bridge No.2 plays an important part in the circulation of goods, especially in ensuring medical products for the prevention and control of nCoV at present. Therefore, relevant agencies of Mong Cai City and import-export enterprises need to closely coordinate with each other to ensure the best conditions and speed up the progress of the resume.
