On September 18, more than 600 officers, soldiers and employees from units across Quang Ninh City, together with reinforcements from the Hai Phong City Police and Lang Son Provincial Police and 67 modern firefighting vehicles and pieces of equipment, took part in the city-level 2026 firefighting, rescue and emergency response drill. The exercise contributed to raising awareness and responsibility and improving coordination among participating forces, thereby enhancing preparedness to protect the lives and property of the State, businesses and the public.
TThe simulated scenario involved a fire caused by an electrical equipment failure in the air compressor system at the assembly workshop of Thanh Cong Viet Hung Industrial Complex Joint Stock Company. The incident affected a large number of employees working at the site, requiring them to be gradually evacuated from the danger area.
The on-site firefighting force moved property and equipment out of the affected area.
Fire and Rescue Police quickly arrived at the scene to stabilise the situation and prepare to respond to the fire and explosion incident.
The drill command assigned tasks to participating forces.Firefighting forces quickly sprayed water to bring the blaze under control.Victims were promptly rescued and moved out of the fire and explosion area.
Medical staff provided first aid to injured workers at the scene before transferring them to ambulances.More than 600 officers, soldiers and employees from 23 units took part in the drill, including 589 personnel from forces based in Quang Ninh City and 19 officers and soldiers providing reinforcement from the Hai Phong City Police and Lang Son Provincial Police. A total of 67 vehicles and pieces of equipment were mobilised, including command vehicles, aerial platform fire engines, ladder trucks, fire engines, water tankers, firefighting robots, pump station vehicles, ambulances and reconnaissance drones.Firefighting robots were deployed to extinguish the simulated fire and explosion at the scene.
After nearly one hour, the firefighting, rescue and emergency response drill at Thanh Cong Viet Hung Industrial Complex Joint Stock Company, involving multiple forces and types of equipment, concluded successfully. It met all requirements and objectives set out in the plan and ensured absolute safety for participating personnel and vehicles.
