Contractors are stepping up construction on the intersection linking the Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway with National Highway 18B to quickly complete regional transport links, with an eye toward finishing the project by late 2027.
The finished interchange will link the Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate straight to the Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway. The project is expected to serve as a major driver for import-export growth, border trade, tourism, and industrial park investments across the region.
The interchange at Km141 of the Van Don - Mong Cai Expressway (in Quang Duc commune) linking the Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate to the highway corridor is gradually taking shape after 3 months of construction.
Site clearance has surpassed 70%, and a balanced cut-and-fill construction plan has enabled the investor and contractors to accelerate construction progress.Four concurrent construction teams are currently executing earthwork grading and overpass construction on-site.
The project spans a total length of 6.24 kilometers with a total investment of 520 billion VND.Contractors are adding bored-pile drilling teams for the three overpasses within the project alongside ongoing earthwork grading.The investor is working closely with local authorities to finish clearing the remaining land and accelerate construction, aiming to complete the project by September 2027.
