The One Commune One Product (OCOP) spring fair will be held from January 18-24, 2017 at the Quang Ninh expo and fair center (in Ha Long city) to provide additional agricultural products of Quang Ninh and other provinces and cities.
The fair will include 150 kiosks, of which, 100 kiosks present productsof Quang Ninh’s enterprises; 50 kiosks will be used for products of other provinces and cities nationwide.
The event is one of the activities under the OCOP program that helps to promote production, boost and introduce OCOP products during the Lunar New Year (Tet holiday).
Launched in 2013, the OCOP program aimes to develop and promote traditional products with competitive advantage, contributing to restructure the economy in urban Quang Ninh and satisfying the criteria on “economy and organizational form of production”, a national criteria for building a new rural area.The programme also targets to increase the per capita income of local people, create more employment opportunities, protect the environment and maintain social stability.
