On Feb.10, the Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company, an afflitiate of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited. (Vinacomin), held a ground-breaking ceremony for the exploitation of the first ton of coal in the new lunar year of 2019.
On the first working day, Feb. 11, almost workers and miners came back to work in the happy and cheerful atmosphere. This is a positive sign showing the employees’ engagement to the company.
According to the production plan of the year 2019, the company sets a target of exploiting 1.3 million tons of raw coal including 450,000 tons of open-cast coal and 850,000 tons of pit coal; mining more than 13,000 meters of pit including 4,400 meters used for basic construction and 8,600 meters for production preparation; selling 1.72 million tons of coal and excavating 4.7 million cubic meters of stone and soil. The total revenue is expected to reach over VND 2,275 billion.
So as to achieve these above-mentioned targets, together with putting much effort in maintaining effective production, the company has launched a variety of emulation movements to successfully accomplish output targets, tighten security management, ensure labour safety and continue to improving labourers’ working conditions.
