No longer trains transporting coal in Ha Long city

On April 1, the operation of trains transporting coal in Ha Long city was officially stopped after the last train N0 07-TYE 2602 had carried coal from Lo Phong station to Nam Cau Trang Coal Selection Company at 10 a.m on Mar. 31.

This work is a result of termination of the operation of the Nam Cau Trang Coal Selection Company (under Hon Gai Coal Selection Company) in an effort to improve the quality of environment of Ha Long city.

Earlier on Jan. 1, a report was made by the Hon Gai Coal Selection Company to inform the termination of the Nam Cau Trang Company’s operation. As planned, the operation of trains transporting clean coal and Nam Cau Trang port will be maintained till Mar. 31 and Jun. 30, respectively. Thus, there has been no longer trains carrying coal in Ha Long city since April 1.

This marks a great effort of Quang Ninh in making Ha Long city cleaner, nicer and safer, contributing to the development of the province’s tourism and service sector. This is also Quang Ninh’s target to become an industrial and service province by 2020 and successfully fulfill 2019’s annual task of improving the service’s quality and effectiveness.
